With a shrewd scheming mother and seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Fritz must fight for the answers he needs to the questions that have been haunting him ever since he received that phone call one hot day in Cap-Haitian... Yanique was born and raised in Cap-Haitian, Haiti. She emigrated to the United States in 1984. She has two daughters, Cindy and Christie. She lives in New York and is working on her second novel, "Reparations" due in August 2009.
